What to wear
Wear something comfortable yet stylish. Forget about revealing clothing for the first date. A sober look is a better idea on a first date. Trust us you don't want to appear too eager on your first date, right?  

Choose colors, fabrics and patterns that complement you. Your wardrobe doesn't satisfy you? Then its time to replenish your wardrobe with clothes that will make you look great and feel wonderful. Its worth the time.  

Hairstyle
Give yourselves a nice hairstyle to complement your face. Haven't discovered the right style for you? Get started. Just browse through some hairstyle books at a quality salon/s and pick a few styles that you like best and then ask the qualified stylist there to pick the style that will best suit the shape and features of your face. After the session remember to ask for and follow the stylists instructions on maintaining your hairstyle.  Now the portrait of your face is done lets go to the face itself. 

Your face
Its just a few days away from your date and you feel you need to give your face a boost. Then do it.

Short of cash? Don't worry you need not sign up at expensive spas for a good facial. You can ask around and choose ones that can still give you the necessary boost and glow without the extra frills and cost. Go for a simple and nice facial and bring out the glow. Of course if you have the cash by all means go for that royal treatment at those luxurious spas and centers and give yourselves an additional moral boost as well. 

Comfortable clothes
Open your wardrobe and take a good look. Choose clothes that you are most comfortable in.  A touch of appropriate style will definitely add to your look. Feel welcome to play around with colors and chose shades that compliment you. Most essentially make sure your clothes are clean, neat, well-ironed, match and fit you properly and compliment you nicely.  

Perhaps this opportunity is not the right time to try your new jeans or shirt unless you are confident they hold no surprises for you to discover and worry about in the middle of an interesting date. Play safe especially if its one of your first few dates. 

Neatness
Hey guys its time to give those dirty nails a good extra scrub, a clean cut and proper filing. Haven't done some of these before ask some experienced friends or female family members.  

Give yourselves a good clean shave.  Give your hair a good boost and get a good hairstyle for yourselves. Please don't go with shabby hair and unshaven unkempt face and looks.  

Clean and polish your shoes guys. Girls do notice and get impressed by such details. Its also said that shoes are a good reflection of a man who's wearing them so its worth it.   

Ok now that's for the cleanliness and neatness part. Lets go on. 

Do not go out to your date smelling sweaty. It can reduce your chances pretty much for a second date. Take a good shower. Dab on a good cologne. But remember men usually give off a natural musk smell which girls are attracted to, so don't try extra hard and cover up your natural smell. Small amounts of cologne will do. Anyway you don't want to be a fragrant flower shop so keep to the limits!  

If you smoke this will reduce your chances with non-smoking girls. Just to play safe keep it out for your first date. Non-smoking girls can be put off by the smell. If you cant resist and have to take a few puffs to calm your nerves before the date then keep handy a mouthwash, spray or a good mint candy.  

Go for some activities both of you have interest in like Ice skating, cycling, a walk along a beach or anything interesting that your mind can innovate. Its your date. Have fun! 

Only thing is, make sure its a mutually acceptable choice that both of you can look forward to. Don't impose your choice just because you simply cant imagine how anyone on earth can resist such an option you have suggested.
